Will rising fuel costs have an irreversible affect?
How many times do we have to be told by our politicians that the worlds economy is in a recession and that Oil prices will continue to rise. I seems that those we've elected to lead us can only stand by and watch the spiraling prices that we have to pay for our everyday needs whilst they continue to live themselves in relative luxury and in some cases on large expense accounts. How often is it that you see a politician driving around in a car that is neither sensitive to the environment or economic in it's running costs. And even worse, how often do you see or hear them spouting on about how each and every one of us has to play our part in protecting the planet whilst they continue to enjoy and sometimes abuse the trappings of the positions they hold. I could go on and on but I'm sure you've already got the message. Who can blame those who protest about the prices we pay for fuel and above all abhorrent tax levels within those prices that we somehow continue to absorb, usually without complaint as most of us believe that if we shout we won't be heard. But, we all know that some of the FAT CAT oil companies out there are simply raking it in at our expense and what does the government do about it ? Well too date I've seen very little action from them. Have you seen anything ? So I say good luck and best wishes to all those who take the time and trouble to protest on behalf of us all. Giving up their free time to send clear messages to those that govern us.....but are they listening ? I some how don't think so as we're led to believe that there will be yet higher levels of tax that will guarantee future Petrol and Diesel prices at the forecourt beyond anything that we've had to pay before.
